at the equator gravity is very much less and so minimum attraction

BhuvanyuChadha: i think i am correct!
swamynathanvp435: because at the centre the attraction will be zero
BhuvanyuChadha: plz see my reason also..
karishnankuttykutty: nope answer is the equator. At equator distance between the center and equator is high
karishnankuttykutty: reply
BhuvanyuChadha: arey so i have alredy said in my answer. Check it oncr again .
karishnankuttykutty: sorry my mistake good job gentle men
swamynathanvp435: if the question is given on the surface of earth then equator is correct
BhuvanyuChadha: i have stated that" centrifugal force cancel it outs. So it is maxim at the equator rather than poles (minimally)". Check it once again dude.
swamynathanvp435: no minimum at the equator than at the poles

Here's your answer -
Many sources state that theEarth's gravity is stronger at the poles than the equator for two reasons: The centrifugal "force" cancels out the gravity minimally, more so at the equator than at the poles. The poles are closer to the center due to the equatorial bulge, and thus have a strongergravitational field.
