HCl Secretion. Hydrochloric acid is secreted through the parietal cells of thestomach. However, before HCl can be secreted and start digesting food, a few other things must happen. Peptides, found primarily in protein, stimulate the process that leads to HCl secretion..hope it helps.:)

HCl is secreted in the stomach. Stomach has a covering known as mucus to protect the organ from the harms of the acid. Its function is to grind food. (I think so)
