Humanity" doesn't exist yet. We, humanoids, an evolutionary step above other mammals have the potential, but we have to covert it to reality.

A Human being is a fully conscious creature that becomes capable of living above, and even against instinctive urges, instinctive processes. At this stage we are still fully instinctive, blindly following our inherently selfish, egoistic “pleasure/pain software".

Thus we still have to go through the final state of our evolutionary development in order to reach our destined, “Human" form.
