Lencho was a poor farmer. He lived in a small house which was the only house in the entire valley. It was sat on the crest of a low hill. There were no other houses in the neighborhood. From his house, a river and a ready-to-harvest corn field with dotted flowers which was owned by Lencho were visible and the field needs an immediate rain shower for a good harvest.

The story Letter to god is written by G.L Fuentes. This story is about a poor farmer Lencho who has a firm faith on god. He was hoping for a good harvest of his corns. But a hailstorm came suddenly and destroyed crops and harvest completely. Thus, he decided to draft a letter to God. In the letter, he requested God to send him a hundred pesos to sow his fields again and save his family from starvation. In the post office the letter was noticed by the post master. At first he make fun of Lencho, but then he contributes from his salary and collects money from his colleagues and friends. At last he could only collect 70 pesos which he wrapped in an envelope and signed as God. On finding the letter, Lencho gets angry on finding that the amount is less than what he had expected. So, he decided to write a letter to God again conveying the employees of the post office who had stolen the remaining amount.
