History of Firoj-Shah tumb

The tomb of Firuz Shah Tughlaq (r. 1351-88) built in 1390 overlooks the Hauz Khas tank and is in the middle of the madarsa that he commissioned. The tomb is plain with a square chamber of plastered rubble masonry with high but slightly battered walls and a lofty dome.

Sultan Firoz Shah Tughlaq was a Turkic Muslim ruler of the Tughlaq dynasty, who reigned over the Sultanate of Delhi from 1351 to 1388. His father's name was Rajab who had the title Sipahsalar.
