Till class 10th you will not find logarithms in maths....but as you advance in class 11 you will realise how important it is...it is used in many fields such as limits , differentiation , integration and most surprising thing is this that you will even fing log's application in Arithmetic Progression and Geometric Progression....logarithm in simple words is inverse of exponention....logarithm of a number is the exponent to which another fixed number (base) must be raises to produce that number....logarithm is an interesting concept which I hope you will enjoy and will realise how important it is in various concepts...all the best
