Mausynram is a village in the East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya state in north-eastern India, 65 kilometers from Shillong. It is reportedly the wettest place on Earth, with an average annual rainfall of 11,872 millimeters.
It is located in the southern slopes of the Khasi Hills, the mean height of which is 1.5 km. Mausynram is at the top of the hill in the middle of the valley.
