here is ur ans....
To measure the moisture content present in leaves, take fresh leaves ,weigh them and let them to dry them in an oven, take readings of the dried leaves untill get the similar value in weight. Then subtract it from the fresh leaves weight, the result will give you the moisture present in the leaves.

If, we divide the result with dry weight, we will get the moisture content percentage on the dry basis.

Similarly, if we divide the result with fresh leaves weight, we will get moisture content present percentage in leaves on wet basis.

Generally, we prefer dry basis, because, dry weight remains same.
