Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain of the world with an elevation of 8126 metres. It comes under the eight - thousanders. It got the nickname of 'Killer Mountain' due to numerous death of mountaineers who attempted to climb it during mid and early 20th century. It is located to the west of Himalayan ranges and is at just South of the Indus river. It is in Diamer district of Gilgit- Baltistan in Pakistan near the western end of Karakoram Ranges.
