Coal, natural gas, and petroleum are all fossil fuels that formed under similar conditions. Today, petroleum is found in vast underground reservoirs where ancient seas were located. Petroleum reservoirs can be found beneath land or the ocean floor. Their crude oil is extracted with giant drilling machines.

Hey mate

Good morning and Happy Janmashthami :-)

-----)Petroleum is formed from the dead organisms living in the sea above millions of years ago. As these organisms died their dead bodies settled at the bottom of sea and got covered with the layer of sand and mud.

With the high temperature, high pressure and absence of air transformed this layers into petroleum.

It's a fossil fuel.

Hope it helps you
