Heya!!

In the lower part of the stratosphere between the altitudes of 15 and 30 km, there is a thin layer of the gas, ozone. Ozone plays a very important role as it absorbs harmful ultra violet rays. The ozone layer is being destroyed by the release of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) into the atmosphere. Chlorofluorocarbons are used in refrigeration, home insulation etc. Efforts are being made globally to reduce the use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).

Hey friend!!!!

The ozone layer is found near the stratosphere. The ozone layer has its own importance. It protects the earth from the harmful ultraviolet(UV)rays of the sun.But in the recent years, the ozone layer is getting depleted due many harmful chemicals. One such chemical is CFC(chlorofluorocarbon) which is usually present in deodorants as well as is used as a cooling agent in refrigerators and air conditioners.

hope it helped......
