After the merger of Ajmer Merwara in Rajasthan in the year 1956, due to passing of the 'States Re-organisation Act', there came to be established the 'High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan' at Jodhpur, having a Bench at Jaipur, which was later on abolished and there was a unified High Court at Jodhpur.
