Explanation: The seepage of water into ground is less in a big city because the cemented and the tar roads, the large number of houses, shops, offices etc. do not allow the water to seep into the soil.

Rainwater seepage or infiltration is in more in the village due to the availability of more open ground and less concrete construction. Large building, concrete roads blocks the passage through which infiltration takes place, as a result of which less seepage takes place in big cities.
