Where is the story set?(You can get clues from the names of the persons and places mentioned in it ). Which language or languages are spoken in these places ? Do you think te characters in the story spoke to each other in english ?(This is Thief Story )

The story is probably set in India . We can say this by the characters name and few places name as mentioned in the chapter . Like it is mentioned about Lucknow station and sweet shop . They speak Hindi cuz the the thief Hari Singh isn’t that educated and the official language spoken in Uttar Pradesh is Hindi . From this all clues we can say that the language spoken by them is Hindi and the place where story is set is U.P ( Lucknow railway is mentioned in story ) ...
