Where is the story set? (You can get clues from the names of the persons and places mentioned in it.) which language or languages are spoken in these places? Do you think the characters in the story spoke to each other in English? (footprints without feet ch 2 the thief story)

The main part of the story is set at Arun’s house. He brings Deepak to live with him. Arun doesn’t earn much. Once he gets to earn a lot of money and Deepak gets greedy. He decides to run away with the money but again somehow comes back to Arun’s house. The main story is set in the tiny house that belongs to Arun.

While the story is all written in English, I don’t think the characters in the story actually spoke in English with each other. This is because Deepak is not an educated boy. So my thoughts crawl to the idea that the boys spoke to each other in their local language, whatever it was.

Answer:

Explanation:

Footprints without Feet is a story written by HG Wells.

It is about Griffin, a scientist, who discovers chemicals that can make a person invisible, but he can be touched and felt with hands without being seen.

The story is set in London where English is the primary language being spoken.

Therefore, yes, the characters in the story must have spoken to each other in English language only.
