The term Ecology is derived from the Greek word “Oikos” which means household, or a place to live. This term was coined by a Zoologist from Germany, Ernst Haeckel. He applied this word Oekologie to the “association of the creature both to its natural and artificial environment". Therefore, the ecology is the study of organism and its ecosystem. The ecosystem includes both the animals and their physical surroundings.
