Where is wheat cultivated? which type of soil does wheat grow in? which season does it grow in? what is its method of cultivation?

* Wheat is cultivated in temperate reasons.
* It grows well in loamy soil.
* It grows well in mild temperature with 75 to 50 cm rainfall.
* It is cultivated with very less water, usually irrigated after sowing and before flowering.... :)

wheat was first cultivated in the regions of the fertile crescent around 9600 BCE.

Wheat grows best in well-drained loams and clay loams. Most of the common bread wheat is grown in alluvial soil of the great plains l, whereas macaroni wheat is grown in black soils.

It is sowed in the month of march and is harvested in the month of April depending on the temperature.

Wheat requires a well - pulverised but compact seed - bed for good germination. The fields are ploughed and pulverised several times before the seed is sown. The seed can be sown by using drilling or broadcasting method. The plant needs three or four times irrigation during the growing period.
And is harvested mostly using a sickle.
