At twice the focal length of the lens in front of it. So if the lens has a focal length of 20 cm, the object must be placed 40cm in front of the lens which will then form an inverted image of the same size as the object, 40 cm behind the lens.

Answer:When object is kept at twice the focal length, image is formed at twice the focal length on the opposite side. In such a scenario, magnification is -1 and hence the image size is same as object size.
