Where should an object be placed with reference to a concave spherical mirror of radius 1.8m in order to form a real image having half it's linear dimension

it must be placed beyond C.

f= 0.9 m

mg= -v/u= hi/ho

as we need real image it is v/u= 1x/2x

by this we get v= - x and u= -2x

by formula we have 1/u+1v=1/f

- 1/ 2x + -1/x= 10/9

-1-2/2x=10/9

-3/2x=10/9

-27= 20x

x= -27/20

therefore by above obj distance = -27/20×2= -2.7

here - indicates the obj distance.

so by above u get the obj must be placed beyond C.
