Hey dear!

After the absorption of food by villi is completed, the following processes take place:-

ASSIMILATION
Assimilation is the final stage when the digested food is used up by the body as fuel. The soluble food absorbed into the blood stream is used to produce energy and provide materials for growth and repair.

EGESTION
Egestion is the process by which the body gets rid of the undigested part of the food.

some substances cannot be digested by humans. This undigested food reaches the large intestine where water is absorbed from it, making it semi-solid.

this is known as Faeces. It is stored in the lower part of the large intestine (rectum) and is sent of the body through anus by a process called defecation.

Hope this helps you... : )

Somin: Can you tell me about the structure of villi?....We know that blood flows only in two types of blood vessels that is arteries and veins..so through which vessel is this digested food being transported?
Swatishka: i am sorry... but i dont know... i am in seventh so i haven't been taught this yet...
Somin: No problem that's what my main question was!
Swatishka: so sorry dear
