TFhe peasnats of kheda(Gujarat) were demanding for the revenue relaxation. Because of crop failiure there was epidemic and they coudnt pay the revenue so gandhi arranged a satyagraha for them in 1916.

The Kheda Satyagraha of 1918, in the Kheda district of Gujarat, India during the period of the British Raj, was the third Satyagraha movement inspired by Mohandas Gandhi and a major revolt in the Indian Independence Movement. It was the third Satyagraha movement after Champaran Satyagraha and Ahmedabad mill strike. Gandhi ji organise this movement to support peasants of kheda district.The peasants of kheda could not be able to pay high taxes of british due to crop failure and plague epidemic.
