When the question is calculate the mass of an atom then the answer should be in gram unit and when the instruction is calculate the actual mass of an atom or molecule then the answer shoul be in Amu. Example - the mass of an oxygen atom is 16g but the actual mass of an oxygen atom is 16amu.
