Abdul Kalam's house was situated on Mosque Street in the beautiful town of Rameswaram.

During the Second World War, the newspapers were bundled and thrown out of a moving train .Abdul Kalam on his first wages by helping his cousin ,who distributed newspapers in Rameshwaram ,to catch these bundles.......for example:he wore a cap which marked him as a Muslim.
