Guru Nanak was born on 15th April 1469 at Rai Bhoi Ki Talwandi present day known as Nankana Sahib, Punjab near Lahore.
His parents were Kalyan Chand Das Bedi and shortened to Mehta Kalu and Mata Tripta. His father was the local Patwari for crop revenue in the village of Talwandi.
