Michael Stone (born 2 April 1955) is anUlster loyalist who was a volunteer in the Ulster Defence Association (UDA). Stone was born in England but raised in the Braniel estate in East Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Stone has battled a hereditary disease known as retinitis pigmentosa for decades, but it's only recently reached the point that's left him "functionallyblind," meaning that he only has peripheral sight in his right eye and can distinguish light and dark. "It gets progressively worse.
