On January 14, 2019 at Gachibowli stadium in Hyderabad 1st Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) Sports Meet 2019 was inaugurated.
The event has been organised by Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society and was inaugurated by Shri Jaswantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor, Minister of State for Tribal Affairs.
It was three day event and in this event Minister has informed that the government of India is planning to make more than 400 Ekalavya Model schools till 2022.
