for eg. you can choose wether you want to eat choclate or ice cream.


we use if when we have to rell that if we will do an activity the result will be this..

for eg. if you will go to picnic then you will miss your exams.

For example.

1. She said to me "Are you going?" : this is direct speech.

Now, check out the answer of this question.
Answer can be yes /no.

So, here we will use if /whether.


So, indirect speech of the above sentence is :

She asked me whether I was going or not.

OR

She asked me if I was going or not.
