it will take place in cells whether of lung or muscles. At times muscle cells respire anaerobically producing Lactic acid as end product with a small amount of energy

Energy during respiration is produced in the cells. As muscles are more involved in work they require more energy for doing physical work.
However cells of lungs also require energy. So we can simply say that energy is produced in each and every cell of our body.
