The energy is released in muscle cells because the work done by our body is actually done by muscle cells. So they need energy to do work. That's why it happens in muscle cells.
Jiya is right.

Answer :

Jiya is correct because, in the lungs, the gaseous exchange takes place. From the lungs, oxygen is transported to the muscle cells.

In the muscle cells, glucose is oxidized to release energy in the form of ATP. The energy is utilized for doing work.
