Answer:combustion is a chemical reaction

Explanation:

during combustion mostly hydrocarbons react with oxygen to form water and carbon dioxide also light and heat is released in the form of energy...hence combustion is a chemical process

Answer:

Combustion of a fuel is a chemical change.

Explanation:

How do we define a chemical change ?

when a substance react to form new product.

The change will always be irreversible meaning we cannot get the substance back from the product.

After combustion of a fuel CO2 along with heat is formed. In the reaction we can't get the fuel back from the CO2 and heat thus making combustion a chemical change.

Now you may ask what is a physical change?

Physical changes are thoses changes that can be reversable.

EG -melting of ice

The solid ice melts to form water but that water can again be put in the freezer to be coverted back to ice.
