Solution :

Energy = Force * Displacement

Well we know that both Force and Displacement are vectors.

According to Dot Product Rule,

The product of Two vectors is always a scalar product. Hence Force Vector multiplied by Displacement Vector is a scalar product called Energy.

Also Energy has only units and magnitude and no direction. Since direction for energy doesn't make sense or any change in calculations.
