Account(personal, real or nominal) is investment A/c and discount receivable A/c.

  • Considering that investment ac is a class of assets, it is a real ac. Because it is a form of income, discount receivable acc is a nominal acc.
  • Because it is a category of assets, investment ac is genuine ac. Because it is a form of income, discount receivable acc is a nominal acc. Investment accounts are those that also contain cash and other assets like stocks, bonds, funds, and other securities. The value of the assets in an investment account might vary and even go down, which is a significant distinction between one and a bank account.
  • Discount accounts are categorised as nominal accounts since they might represent a business's indirect income (if received) or indirect expenses (if paid).
  • A real account is one that, at the conclusion of an accounting period, preserves the ending balance and uses it as the opening balance for the subsequent accounting period.
