Which accounts appear in the Balance Sheet?

The debit and credit balance of those Ledger Accounts which have not been closed till the preparation of trading and profit and loss account are shown in the balance sheet. the debit balances are shown on the "Assets" side and the credit balances are shown on the "Liabilities" side .
