Actually   Sodium bicarbonate  NAHCO3 is prepared using: (a lot of CO2 dissolved in water).   CO2 dissolved in water is in equilibrium with  carbonic acid  H2 CO3 (weak acid,  dissociates into H+ and HCO3-.

unbalanced equations are:
         Na OH +  H2O + CO2   =>  Na HCO3 + H2 O
       Or,  Na OH +  H2 CO3    =>  Na HCO3  + H2 O

============================
same way:

       Na OH + H2 SO4  =>    Na HSO4 + H2 O

Sodium hydroxide and Sulfuric acid to prepare Sodium bisulfate.

GauravJangra: CO2(g) + H2O(l) + NH3(g) + Na+
(aq) --(0-15 C)--->> NaHCO3(s) + NH4
+
(aq)
GauravJangra: sir i respect u....u r too experienced...but we can also prepare it using this equation
kvnmurty: why did u report the answer as bad?
kvnmurty: where are acids and bases in the above equation you mentioned?
kvnmurty: the question is about acid and base...
kvnmurty: which acid and which base.... that is the question.
