Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) is a strong acid with hygroscopic and oxidizing properties also sulfuric Acid is a mineral acid. The other names of sulfuric acids are Mattling acid or Oil of vitriol. Sulfuric acid has the properties of strong acidic nature and is corrosive. At higher concentrations, it acts as an oxidizing agent and dehydrating agent.
Much of sulfuric acid is used for superphosphates, ammonium sulphate fertilizers (approximately 80%), although just 20% is used in the chemical industry.
