CF₁ and CF₀ of ATPase act as a transmembrane channel

  • A transmembrane channel allows the movement of molecules from inside the cell/organelle to outside the cell organelle after crossing the lipid bilayer.
  • The ATPase consists of two parts CF₁ and CF₀. The CF₁ subunit is situated outside the membrane while CF₀ is embedded in the membrane. Together both of them act as a transmembrane channel allowing the movement of molecules across the membrane

Thus, (Option C) Both (A) and (B) acts as a transmembrane channel.
