for class 9th ( CBSE) you must go with NCERT and NCERT exemplar for boards preparation.

if you want to prepare for engineering ( iit ) then for foundation you shoud study foundation science of Bharti bhawan publication ,

after completing this you can go through the theory of Pearson , Physics and chemistry ( don't solve all numericals, as it will require much much effort)
