administrative practices introduced by the British still prevalent in india are as follows:

Introduction of Civil Services in India by Lord Cornwalis is still prevalent in india.

Public service commissions were set up for recruitment of civil servants.

Portfolio system was introduced which is still projected in india.

Revenue administration is also there.

Police system is also at heads.

Budgeting accounting also introduced by British which help in development of India till now also.

they changed to suit the needs of post-colonial India as they extract economic surplus, in the form of revenue, from the agrarian economy, and second, to maintain effective political control with minimal military involvement.

hope this will help.

b. Public service commissions were set up for recruitment of civil servants.

c. Portfolio system was introduced in the Central Secretariat under Lord canning.

The administrative practises that had its roots during British time had to be changed by the Constitution makers through discussions and debates so that it could survive in the changing times.
