Moist air is less dense than its equivalent (same volume, pressure and temperature) dry air. It is because of the less molecular weight of moist air.

The molecular weight of dry air is approximately 14.5 g (because air is predominantly N2 and O2 molecules which are having molecular weights of 14 g and 16 g respectively).

But, the molecular weight of water vapour (H2O) is only 10 g.

If water vapour is present in the place of some dry air, the molecular weight of the total air and water mixture will be lesser than that of dry air.

Hence, moist air is less dense than dry air under the same temperature, pressure and volume.

hi friend

density refers to volume and u can see that there is notihng in dry air just oxygen of air and dust particles.

But on other hand

wet air has water particles or moisture inside it which makes it more denser than dry air

hope it help u
