The correct answer is - Hindi.

The Indian Constitution has designated the language 'Hindi' as the official language of the Government and the Republic of India. The official language of Hindi is to be written in the Devanagari script. There is no national language, but there is an official language.

The Consitution of India recognizes 22 languages as official languages of the Republic of India. According to the Articles 344 (1) and 351 of the Constitution of India, the Eighth Schedule lists all the 22 official languages of the Indian Republic.

Recently, the Urdu language was given an official status in West Bengal state.
