Answer:

3.Vitreous humour provides nutrients to the lens is not true

Explanation:

1.Covering most of the outside of the eye is a tough white layer called the sclera. A clear thin layer called the conjunctiva covers the sclera. At the very front of the eye is a clear surface, like a window, called the cornea that protects the pupil and the iris behind that window.

2.Cornea: the transparent part at the front of the eye that refracts light entering the eye onto the lens. Lens: a transparent structure behind the pupil that refracts incoming light and focuses it onto the retina. The lens is able to change shape in order to improve the focus.

3.Along with maintaining the shape of the eye, the vitreous helps absorb shocks to the eye and keeps the retina properly connected to the back wall of the eye. Light passes through the vitreous on its way to the retina.

4.The retina then sends nerve signals are sent through the back of the eye to the optic nerve. The optic nerve carries these signals to the brain, which interprets them as visual images. The portion of the brain that processes visual input and interprets the messages that the eye sends is called the visual cortex.
