Which Anglo-Saxon god does this describe? He (from which came the name Thursday) was considered the god of thunder and lightning and his emblem of the hammer and twisted cross is found on many Anglo-Saxon gravestones (this emblem was later used by Hitler as a symbol for Nazism – the swastika).
