Well every animal will need to depend on a certain food source just depends on what they eat. Herbivores eat plants so musk deer eat coniferous needles, willow, maple, and honeysuckle. The orchid mantis eats other insects and its diet can even consist in eating its own kind(its the same with other species of mantis). Orchid mantis can eat ants, flies, butterfly, crickets, and beetles. Now, the kodiak bear can eat both plants and animals so this is considered being an omnivore.
