Wordpad is the application which is used to type contents and also make corrections in the text. It is not only wordpad that allows you to type the contents, but also there are other similar application software like MSword, notepad, OpenOffice “Text document”, etc.

The only difference between these few software is that, certain software are paid and few are open source. “Notepad” can have typed contents but it does not support formatting or insert pictures and other rich tools like MSword or Open office.
