Switzerland, Finland
Explanation:
- Switzerland is a "semi-direct" "democratic federal republic". Switzerland has a tradition of direct democracy. In Switzerland minority interest are defended by power sharing. The fair representation of the nation's different regions & linguistic groups is one of Switzerland's biggest political strength. And, in contrast to many other countries, parliamentary elections do not lead one party to secure a majority and therefore to form a government. It ensures that the various minority groups can have their say and the sensitive balance of power of the country is not disturbed.
- In Finland there is power sharing between the Finnish and Swedish- speaking people. The presence of Swedish people in Finland is because previously Finland was a part of Sweden. Finland has two official languages Finnish & Swedish. The government grants equal rights & representation in politics & social structure. In the past Finland had been part of Sweden and had no political institutions, but Finnish people participated in Swedish politics. After separation from Sweden there were ethnic issues between Finnish and Swedish people who were staying back in Finland. However this was resolved with well drafted accommodation policy with Swedish people also having representation in the Finnish government
