1. Geographical Unity: India has its own boundary fixed by nature. Due to this different communities are forced to live in India together. It is surrounded on the north by the Himalayan range and on the other sides by high seas.
2. Religious unity :The unity exists among various religious groups, such as Hindu, Muslim, Christian etc. All religions have some common principles of benevolence and honesty.
3. Cultural Unity: Indian culture possesses a basic unity. Starting from literature, philosophy, tradition, and customs are typically Indian. Some of the religious and cultural festivals are common and celebrated all over India.
4. Linguistic Unity: In India, a large number of languages are found, and the problem of multiplicity of languages is solved as all are based on Sanskrit which makes as a link language.
5. Political unity: India was divided into so many kingdoms. In British rule, the concept of political unification took place for freedom of India.
6. Racial Unity: From the earliest time, India was invaded by different races such as Aryans, Sharks, Huns and many more. But with the passage of time all merged to a homogeneity to the local population and culture that they lost all traces difference in nature.
