The literature work during this time was at its peak.
It was followed by political literature, secular literature and mostly, religious literature.
The religious literature mainly composed of eleven books namely Tirumurais.
These books were on Saivism.
The secular literature consists of books written on Tamil grammar while the political literature has poems written by the Chola kings.
