The Peninsular Plateau

Formed due to the breaking and drifting of Gondwana land. Plateau contains igneous and metamorphic rocks. Considered to be one of the most stable land blocks. The Deccan plateau is one of the most ancient landmasses. The average height of the plateau is 900 metres.The plateau is a storehouse of minerals. Peninsular rivers are seasonal.
