They receive rainfall between 70-200 cm per year. on the basis of rainfall they are divided into dry deciduous and moist deciduous . the latter one receives more rainfall. they have a short dry season. The most dominant species is Teak. Sal, Sisham and sandalwood are also commercially important crops.
