People in rural areas are landless agricultural labour traditional artisans and petty self employed workers. In urban areas the most affected are beggers and homeless people, casual labours people employed in ill-paid occupations and construction migrant and other seasonal workers are more food insecure.
Further, many pregnant and nursing mothersand also children under the age of 5 years are food insecure.
